Introducing one of our girls!
Peep is an Auracana chicken and delights us with lovely blue eggs!
Our flock is free range but our Peep is special. Last fall she started limping and hobbling around and we soon discovered that she had injured her leg. An otherwise healthy and sweet natured chicken, we brought our Peep inside and she spent the winter content to be in a box in our bathroom with occasional visits outside when the weather allowed. These days Peep occupies her own special “partment” of the coop to be carried out in the morning to spend the day sunning or taking a dirt bath under her favorite pine tree! Each evening we carry her back down to her coop.
She loves to be carried around the yard under the arm of my daughter and is truly our special little gal!
